KURLZ IN OTHER PLACEZ
PUCK TIME
- LA Kings: My sad, sad team. At least they finally got website that works and is sort of user-friendly.
- Detroit Red Wings: The team I root for in the playoffs since the Kings never make them.
- NHL.com: All the official news and notes from all over the league.
THIS & THATZ
- Arclight Cinemas: The best movie theater in Los Angeles (and one of the Top 10 in the U.S. according to Entertainment Weekly!)
- Burke Williams Spa: The quiet room after a one hour massage is the most heavenly place on earth.
- Cinespia: Cemetery Screenings - You haven't lived till you've watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers in the middle of a cemetery.
- Disney XD: This is why I had no life from November 2006-April 2007. Enjoy!
- E! Online - First Look: Always updated Entertainment news.
- IMDB: The Internet Movie Database where you can find the 411 on any movie, TV show, actor or crew member you could ever think of. I know like 20 people on there. It's that detailed :P
- Sigalert.com: Check the traffic in real time.
- TMZ.com: Normally I wouldn't be supporting such paparazzi scum, but this site has all the close-up photos of the Britney Spears sightings we see out my window at work, so I go here quite often to get better looks at her atrocious attire.
- Urban Legends Reference Pages: The next time you get one of those emails saying you'll get $10 in the mail if you forward it to 10 people, go here for the truth before you forward it to me. Please and thank you.
GOOD EATZ
- Ca del Sole: Until I go to Italy, this is the next best thing. Plus the bar is the perfect place to meet for drinks after work, the bruschetta is FABULOUS and the waiters/bartenders are the best!
- Casa Vega: Best real Mexican food in the Valley, too-good margaritas, and excellent celeb sitings.
- C&O Trattoria in Marina Del Rey and its new sister restuarant C&O Cucina (up the street a bit) are home to "killer garlic knots" and delish Italian food. Be prepared to eat!
- French 75: I never knew I liked French food so much till I went here... French cosmos, French fries, French Mac 'n' Cheese... yummy.
- La Luna Negra: Yummy, yummy sangria and tons of tapas you order family-style and share. Located in Pasadena with flamenco dancers who perform twice a night.
- The Little Door: An intimate place on 3rd Street with EXCELLENT food! A bit pricy though, so save it for a special occasion.
- Lucy's 51: The 51 stands for the number of martini's they serve. Loved this place after one visit... and it's so close to home!
- Luna Park: Good mojitos, hearty food (baked mac and cheese..mmm!) and you can make s’mores at your table!
- OpenTable.com: Make your restaurant reservations here online and earn points toward OpenTable Dining Cheques, which can be used at any OpenTable restaurant.
